Three coffee mornings have been arranged this year and we are grateful to everyone who offered to host one. They all start at 10:30am and finish at 12:30pm. The cost is £2 (includes coffee). The person holding the coffee morning may also ask for a contribution to, or sell plants for, their favourite charity.
Margaret writes that her garden isn't themed, it contains lots of plants that she's grown from seeds and cuttings and plants known by the names of friends old and new. It also contains thugs that every year she regrets not removing. Still she loves her garden and it always comes before croquet. There are some earlier photos of Margaret's garden, and an article on its history in the spring newsletter.
'Half Acre' has been under development for 4 years, with still much to be done. It is planted with a mix of perennials and shrubs with a small collection of fruit trees and raised vegetable beds.
A garden with mixed planting of perennials, shrubs, occasional annuals and a large vegetable patch, managed organically. The soil is sandy and dries out very quickly.
