Diarmuid Gavin

“My Mischievous Life Making Show Gardens”

As you’ll probably know by now, we’ve booked TV presenter and best-selling author Diarmuid Gavin to speak to us on April 9, 2016 in the Frank Parkinson Lecture Theatre, Pershore College.

His subject is “My Mischievous Life Making Show Gardens” – which will look at his efforts over the years to win gold at Chelsea Flower Show. He finally reached that goal in 2011 with his controversial Irish Sky Garden, now on permanent exhibition in the city of Cork.

Worcestershire HPS members’ and partners’ tickets cost just £7.50 – with non-members being charged £10, including a hot drink at the end of the talk. Tickets will be on sale at each of our monthly meetings up to and including our AGM on March 12.

Just contact Mick Dunstan at the meeting and have ready either a cheque – made payable to Hardy Plant Society Worcestershire – or cash for the full amount.

Now’s the time to buy tickets for family and friends too. It would be a great present for Christmas or birthdays. Tickets will go on sale to the general public after our January meeting – so buy early to avoid disappointment.

Group secretary Lyn Maile can also reserve any tickets if you are unable to attend a meeting before next April. Her email address is or call her direct on 01905 820267.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Mick Dunstan
